Founders
Guillermo Milans del Bosch (CEO) and Loan Bensadon (CSO) established Medicinal Gardens (Baïa Food) in 2013 after discovering the “miracle berry” and the enormous potential of miraculin to enhance the quality of life for many people.
Together, they have successfully built an ethical and sustainable supply chain in West Africa and, for the first time, obtained European Union authorization for the consumption of a flavor-transforming ingredient: DMB®.
So, what led them
to create Baïa?
Their drive to improve people’s quality of life through a holistic and natural approach motivated them to establish Baïa.
Loan studied Pharmacy and developed a passion for medicinal plants and their therapeutic power on human beings. Guillermo, on the other hand, graduated in Business Administration and Law. He experienced a severe case of peritonitis that left him with half a meter less of intestine. This experience changed his life and his perception of the importance of nutrition.
That’s when the idea of creating Baïa Food emerged.
